Wow, $330 for 1000rds of .45ACP, $260 for .40S&W, . That's pretty damned good. Their rifle ammo prices are pretty high, but their pistol is amazing.

Close to the same price as Walmart...WWB...granted, you can not buy it in bulk at Walmart though. No shipping fee there also. I just buy as I go.

WWB 40 S&W is always out here in extra supply. I do not like that caliber that much, but my only 40 cal Kel-Tec with the 31 Glock mag does... I love the hell out of that thing....great for a hike in Colorado.

I don't go to Walmart much, but every time I have, they've never had any ammo around here. I have all my own secret little places for ammo. .40S&W practice ammo and .223/5.56 sales pop up at Cabelas, a shop called Capra's has a pallet of 9mm on-hand at all times, but .45ACP gets hard to come by. I am currently sans a .45 pistol with about 500rds of MagTech and about 2000 brass sitting in my armory. Just gotta figure out which .45 will be my next. I still don't know if the M&P45 is a good fit for my hand. I've held it, but I haven't gotten around to shooting one yet. I only go to the indoor range during the winter, but I may have to schedule something soon to give it a go. The only non-1911 .45 that I know fits my hand is the HK45.

Get a Kriss SMG or a UMP 45!

I bought a case of Blazer ammo because it was cheap (aluminum cartridges) but I haven't shot it yet...I should have just got the blazer brass but like I said, it was inexpensive for my range ammo stockpile. I've given a bunch away to friends haha.
What's the word on this stuff?

Wouldn't mind a KRISS. I need a couple more pistols though. Problem is that I gotta pick up the AI AE MkII and scope next summer, so that's $6100 I have a budget out. That may wind up being my only gun for 2012.
I still have two other ARs to build, plus I need a new shotgun for pheasant hunting. PLUS, I need a new reloading press.

tough problems to have...kekeke
AI=
Is the AE the cheapest model? I'm still in the market for a bolt action with Sako still in the lead for .308.

Reloading 9mm is nice if you cast your own bullets or shoot lead but I wouldn't bother with jacketed unless competition ammo.

I cast from wheel weights and make 1000 loaded rounds for ~$40. I load while the dog is doing her business(outdoor loading) and usually get 30 done per outing.. 2-3 times a day it adds up.

Between the dirty charges, possible inconsistency, and small chance of danger, to me, it is just not worth it.

Saving $1-$5 for a trip to the range is just silly to me.

It is completely my opinion. To me, ANY risk, is not worth the small savings.

JMHO
If its sold at a gun show I don't think reloaded ammo is the right term. Companies like Georgia arms sells commercially loaded legal ammo using mixed brass(I suspect once fired).

^^It's a technicality - but that's still factory produced ammo, IMO. Georgia arms is NOT equal to Billy Bob's reloading stand. There are QC standards that go into Georgia arms

The AE is the least expensive model. AI wanted to increase their US LE sales, but LE agencies and officers did not want to spend $6k on an AW/AWP. So, they created the AE and shed over $2k off the price.

The Sako TRG-22 is one of the best buys on the market for an all-in-one precision tactical rifle. Not many people are aware that it is available in a 20" barrel version, which is what I would buy if I weren't getting the AI.
