Cool Honda CBR600 Super Bike Carbon Wrapping Project

Hey;

This is the last project Josee and I worked on together. Buddy got the parts clear-coated at his brother's shop (runs an autobody shop) as Josee passed right as we were about to clear coat the set. He actually came out and assisted in the final sanding as she was getting sicker and I was comitting almost all my time to her... He races this in the SOAR superbike series up here in Canada (Ontario).

Here are the installed pictures; think it came out pretty sweet. We used a 1x1 palin weave as I thought it would look best considering all the curves on the parts. I did all the painting prior to final sanding and clear coating.

Test fitting before clear coating:

Decals going on this weekend!

The "trick" was using 1x1 as it is much more "resiliant" to "wandering" and actually helps where there are manhy curves on a piece. I'm re-doing my engine pieces in 1x1. It's completely stock now.... LOL when I get some time...

don't need them on the track... they make you tape them off.

and OP you just wrapped the original plastics? or is this all CF now?

Look's soo good. You have the same chain/sproket/exhuast as me

Can't use on the track; obstruct airflow as well.

Can't; he has sponsors and number plates, etc that still need to be displayed.

would be sick if you do a light coat of paint where you can still see the weave like on the koenigsegg

Not really. You just use a pearlescent paint. Gives a hint of color but is mostly clear, so it shows the CF weave underneath.
