Talking My Build Thread

So I've had my 325xi for a couple of years now and its been a great car, but still allot of things urk me about it. One of the biggest being my latest mod of letting a friend borrow to the car to get it brought back to me on a flatbed with four ruined rims and some bent control arms needless to say were not that close anymore ahahha. ive bought all the parts i need to get it back to were it needs to be, and had the frame etc.. checked for bends. thank god it only went over a curb at 25...FML. So anyways I'm going to have pics up in a week when im back home from college. If any ones in Seattle wants to help out feel free to shoot me a PM.

Here is a list of what I have got sitting at my house waiting to get put on:

-New control arms, bushings, and tie rods.
-All front under body panels.
-4 new calipers.
-SS lines.
-Bimmer Bimmer brakes drilled and slotted rotors.
-All new filters.
-New headlight lenses, will be doing the bi-xenon on a budget mod too.
-M3 front with projector fogs.
-A whole bunch of Di-noc.
-Beyern mesh 18's with khumo ecsta SPT's.
-VCG,CCV, and Besian seals.
-New Pulleys.
-Led Interior and license plate light.
-Gauge rings lol...
-3 Quarts of TIAG paint, two stage.

That's most of it. i cant remember everything right now. I know the shocks/struts/springs are probably shot, but I don't see any oil leaking from them as of now. In all reality though there going to be replaced with Bilstein e46 hds up front, and Bilstein e36 m3's in the rears. It really sucks knowing that your e46 is just siting at home all hurt

My future plans for the car are:

-When the "dryhump" ahah step-tronic finally dies, swaping it out for a 6sp
(with m5 clutch?), and keeping the 3.46 diffs.

-M54b30 swap or m54b25 stroker, which ever ones gonna be cheaper.

-Lsd rear, but im gonna wait until some ones else does it so I can see if its a or a

Ill have picks up on the 15th when i move back home!

Wha? No S54 swap? Everybody's doing phantom S54 swaps in their 'stay tuned' threads now! Get with the program.

You have to pull all of the fender wells, then there is the FIVE t20 screws inside the engine bay, and one under the weatherstripping on the windhield and then THREE more 10MM screws underneath the fender wells, which are facing the rear of the car, its a dirty PITA ahahah and you also DONT have to remove the corner lights. I can put up some pics of all the locations if you want

Talking Gettin there, but have a couple questions...

Finished VCG, and replacing/fixing the door panels. Should be getting the new fender in the mail sometime today HOPEFULLY, might have it painted first but who knows, and when the rest of the DI-NOC comes in I'm gonna wrap all of the interior trim including the sunglasses holder, and ashtray area with the graphite DI-NOC. Found a new mirror cover, and drivers side, skirt. Both are an hour and a half away in Black Diamond tho...any local fanatics wanna help me out ahahahah.

I have a few questions if anyone could help:

1. Do i need to find an XI specific 6 speed, or do i just need a six speed and the adapter?
-will x3 six speeds work, and can I reflash the DME with WinFkp?

2. Has anyone wrapped the b pillars etc.. with CF?
-is it rice?
-what about the trunk lift?

3. Is a catch can a safe alternative to CCV?
-Pros/Cons?

BTW, if you are changing the front bumper, I will take the fogs lol
Mine have been half full of water since 45k miles
Get this:
It started with heavy condensation, so I went for a warranty on them, the Dealer told me "it's normal, turn them on for 30 minutes and they will be fine"
It was SO ridiculous I walked away and called BMW Canada, who said "we support our dealers, if they think that, there must be a valid reason, it must be true"

Pretty ridiculous since I've had BMWs from before some of these clowns were born!
