The real problem is you let your gf drive your car. Don't ask me how I know it was worse than a SES light.

Just get it scanned and see what codes come out.

SES light came on because your car knew your girl friend drove it.

scan it. the code will probably come up as [you betrayed me] (Bank 2) P113520

You have to pull codes to see what the light means.

The only thing your GF could have done to directly cause the light to come on is to leave the gas cap off or loose. Any other reason for the light is pure coincidence.

same thing happened to me man.. my roommate's car is down and 3 days ago she asked me if she could use my car, the M3, to visit her moms.. i was jus gonna drive her there but i had a DUI class to attend to (yup...) so i couldnt go. i felt bad so i let her drive my M3 (FU*KIN AYE!)... the day after, I found a good scratch on my bumper near the bottom part and SES light came on.. hmmmm... i felt obligated to let her use it coz she cooks for me everyday... but damn, feel me?... so now im all over this site doin research on how/what to fix... fml
