*OrisuE46's Xi Progression Thread 2007-Present*

Hello everyone. i decided my car is decent enough to start a progression/mods thread.

i will be updating this as i get new parts and pics of my car, so i dont have to make a new thread everytime. also i will need opinions on future parts/mods so everything can be discussed in here

ill start from the beginning and work my way to my present look. its not much but i hope you enjoy.

first mod i did was black grills

next was lighting; project46 headlights, clear corners, sides and RCR tails.

next i got a cosmos cold air intake- never took pics cuz its kinda ghetto rigged lol.

then i wheels- modbargain reps 19x8.5et? on some cheap tires. no rubbing

i could almost stick my head through that lol

next i was kinda bored with the woodgrain interior so i sprayed them satin nickle. turned out alright, but my patience ran out and kept f-ing them up before they dried.

wasnt happy, so luckily my E46 secret santa sent me CF wrap.

i got a little 10in pioneer. wasnt enough.

so i got this.

fastforward 1-1/2 years later lol decided to step it up a little and got the coilovers i'd been drooling over for years.

KW V1's

couldnt wait so we did it in the rain. only took a couple hours.

angel eyes on.

added a 15mm in the front for fun. my rim was flush with the fender.

after 2.5/3 years with these reps i wasnt happy how bad i treated them so i decided to get something new but stay in the LM family lol.

Vortex Tuning 19x9.5 et20 LM replicas in Hyper Silver finish. 3.2in Lips

got them wrapped in 215/35/19 Falken 452's

and then i lowered the front about half inch or more.

thats how she is sitting now. i got a few ideas for some new mods but i havent committed to them yet.

how long were you running that low? I'd love to get coils...but I know I couldnt keep it at a decent height and end up slamming it. Im just scared of running threw front end parts every other week as everyone says how hard it is on the front ends of the xi's

Car looks insane tho, lots of inspiration for me to actually pull the pin and start modding mine more

since october. you wont wear through tires if you get a good alignment. im very happy with the results..honestly after riding around with no helper spring, i kinda want to put it back on cuz its too bouncy now. but other than that its just how i pictured it.

thanks! i almost put the ones i had on but after looking at them i decide where its at now is perfect for daily driving.

im doing a lot of mods now because stanceworks is coming up soon and i want it to be unique, so i might add spacers just for that WOW factor but i dont see a need for them for DDing.

thanks for the comments guys.

nice looking ride! go Hamann lip, when you find one, buy two and send one to me! How does the awd system react to the spacers? I want to space out the rear but dont want to mess with the dsc and driveline.

thanks I think ryan or gottalovethexi is running that exhaust or at least a very similar one. Search some of his threads and it should give you a pretty good idea of what it'll look like. I really need to get a sound clip up.

lol will do. ya know i didnt really notice much difference in handling when i had them on the fronts. i would say give it a shot, since you can always remove them if its not the way you want it

yeah almost everyone i run into that asks about my setup is shocked its an xi. this is my "fun" car/DD. im modding mostly for looks and styling and this setup made it perfect imo. im surprised none of the XI elitists have came in to talk sh1t about how low it is and how i shouldnt run this setup with our AWD system. oh well

yeah hes sent me some. i wanted to see some other setups preferably with the same stock rear i have. but thanks!

you wouldnt happen to have a sound clip? im eventually gonna do headers, most likely in the winter while my car is hibernating. not sure where to get them though.

edit: just read you dont have a sound clip lulz
