The Club, It damaged my BMW Logo!! Help!
Hey all, I used the club the other night on my steering wheel and it actually put a God D#*n lump or dent on the BMW emblem.(see pic and have to zoom in on emblem to see where the dent is on bottom right near CF overlay where the blue used to be)
I tried a sticker overlay and the heat from the sun caused it to slough off. So I know the best way to fix it is buying a new center piece, but anyone know what it is called?? Do I need a new airbag b/c this whole piece with the air bag was replaced already. THanks A LOT in advance. |

Why did you use a club in the first place? And the whole airbag cover must be replaced, the roundle isn't supposed to come out.

Dammit I knew it. I used it b/c I have no alarm and I was in a ghetto area so I used that and the clutch lock to make sure nobody was taking my baby.

Hmm I thought it could be popped off... I just bought a whole new set of CF blue and white roundels and a steering wheel one was included... If you do try to pry it off be sure to disconnect the battery just in case so you don't accidentally have the airbag blow in your face!!

Anyone who knows how to trick BMW's anti-theft features is probably going to be able to make easy work of a steering wheel lock

If its an overlay thwn you could prolly just pry the overlay back off, clean it and replace with another overlay. Jmo. I would still disconnect the battery.

The roundel comes off. You can order a new one from sponsors. Usually the replacements have 3m tape on the back side.

Forget the mods. Get an alarm ASAP.
Yeah a thief can still get in, the point is to make it as difficult as possible. Take it from my experience... Waking up in the morning to find your hardtop missing is definitely a **** feeling. Stop mods... Protect your car... Especially if you go to the ghetto!!

Yeah I haven't tried it yet I'm waiting for the new ones to arrive and we have a national postal strike right now
I've got like four orders just sitting around!!! I hope there is a way to get it off as I would really like to have the blue and white CF roundel on my wheel! |

E46s have immobilizers as standard equipment to prevent theft. I'd say BMW would be leery about selling covered to prevent reuse of already deployed airbags.
