Any reputable mechanics in Orange County?

After spending nearly $1300 on an Inspection II, coolant and power steering flush, Crevier BMW now wants me to spend an additional $500+ on new control arms and bushings. I would rather not.

Can anyone recommend a good service shop in the OC area. I live in Irvine.

Thanks!

it's not located in OC, but The M Shop in Glendale is a great place to go to get quality work done at affordable prices. Joe, the owner, is a master tech who came out of New Century BMW not too long ago. Contact them: www.themshop.com or (323)257-5773. Let them know Peter referred you.

There seems to be a shop in Mission Viejo called Euro Tech (949)768-4055. It looks like it could be good. I've been to the M Shop in Eagle Rock. Joe is great. He'll walk with you around the car and point stuff out.

Oh and by the way.... New century BMW in Alhambra charged me $500 for Inspection II.

Never tried them personally, just seen a few of their cars around town and they sound like a quality shop.

Really...

I called Irvine BMW and they wanted $180 for Oil Service. Eurotech wants $75 and TheMshop charges $60. I would rather pay the $15 and drive five minutes and not have to drive over an hour into Eagle Rock...

that's true. but with oil changes, you could just do them yourself and save even more.

There prices are cheaper then dealers. I dont know how expensive eurotech is or how much they charge so I cant say. But the service in terms of knowledge and pricing is great at bullet performance. I am very satisfy with there service. Ive been going there for about 7 years now.

do a search on Bullet. I thought I saw a post where mechanic took a car home. When the owner came by the shop, his car was gone.

I thought I was going to go to Eurotech for my service...

When I called to make an appointment. They said the $75 oil change does not include service indicator reset. That would be $160 for an Oil Service.....Is it me or does anybody else think that Oil Service is just another way of getting more money from you. Its just an Oil change with an inspection....

Instead I'm going to DAI Motorsport in Laguna Niguel.

$65 for Oil "Service"
$160 for Inspection I
$360 for Inspection II w/spark plugs.

The thing I noticed with Inspection II. It normally doesnt come with Plugs. According to BMW, they dont have to be changed for 100k miles. Inspection II is normally done at 60k. I dont know...

Also, Bimmertechbrea quoted me $360 for inspection I. That seems really high..

Car emporium is the shop I go to sometimes. Its in garden grove and they do good work. They specialize in german cars. The owner, serge, has a modded E36 M3.

here is the number: (714) 537-6900

When I got an oil change, I brought my own oil and filter and I was charged 15 dollars for labor and 3 dollars for the light indicator reset.

WOW! $3 for a light reset?! That work is a no brainer and they still charge?!

i'm sure bullet does great work. but i just called them about replacing some brake pads and they insisted that i would need new rotors. the price they quoted me was about $575 for front and back. when i asked how much it would cost if i supplied my own parts, they quoted me $350. i think that's pretty high, especially when precision motors quoted me $190 just to replace pads.
