Discolored HID

Started my 04 330xi this morning and noticed my drivers side light was discolored, pinkish color almost. Is this due to a burnt bulb or bad ballast? One other question if you guys had a choice would you have HID's of LED's?

Pink bulb means it has reached the end of its lifespan and needs replacement. When you replace xenon bulbs it must be done in pairs. I do have a set of Philips 85122+ bulbs for sale for $65 shipped with an extremely low amount of hours on them that you can buy if you want.

I noticed mine going pink last week. This is my first car with these lights so I came here for info. Ordered up a pair of Philips and they're due in by tomorrow. Last night it seems the light was back to white and this morning it started to flicker and then, poof!

I didn't order up the cheapest ebay bulbs either. Never in a million years would I have imagined counterfeit bulbs were out there. This forum is valuable in many ways.

Dammit- where were you last week? I just shelled out $185 for a pair of Osram CBIs.

Nothing wrong with that. I have CBI's in my car right now. Worth the money.

They're certainly better than the original clapped out ten year old bulbs, but I'm still tempted to call up TRS and order 50/55W ballasts for the low beams.
