Well, now I KNOW how long it takes to change a fuel pump; it took me 25 minutes, and I was taking pictures of the process along the way. That's from rear-seat on to rear-seat back on with the middle seat belt folded nicely ;-) A shop that charges 1 hour to change the pump is being pretty honest. One that charges 4 hours..
My wife's 323it had 223k miles when the pump went, so I decided to change out the pump in my 330i w/ 200k miles.
I bought a VDO pump and genuine BMW gasket at autohausAZ for just $166. The original pump was also a VDO.
I wonder why I haven't received my online customer survey yet?
