I have a 2000 323 Ci and the previous owner put in an aftermarket Pioneer stereo but he gave me the original radio. I'd like to put it back in but I'm not sure how the trim around the pioneer comes off. I don't want to pry it off to find out later it is screwed on and the dash has to be taken apart to get it off. My question is: Does the trim pry off or if not what do I do to put the orig. back in?

You need to remove the trim piece from above the glove box and then the trim piece above the headunit. There are tons of DIYs with photos of how to do this. Then, you should be able to remove the dash kit that is holding the aftermarket radio.
Hopefully, the prior owner did not cut-and-splice any of the wiring. If you need a wiring harness or antenna adapter, you can go to www.discountcarstereo.com or www.installer.com. Hope this helps.
