Rattling sound from front passenger seat

Hello,

I just bought a 330i zhp and I've noticed that when I go over bumps or am driving on rough roads, there is a distinct rattle sound coming from the front passenger seat. It seems to be coming from under the seat itself, so I checked with a flashlight and couldn't identify anything that might be causing it.

I also don't have the first-aid kit under there so it can't be that, nor is it the seatbelt hitting against the plastic pillar.

It's driving me insane!

I also noticed that whenever I accelerate lightly, I hear a very faint, sound coming from the exterior of the car. It's not a loud rattle or anything, and it SEEMS to be coming from the right passenger side. The best way I can describe it is a buzzing sound. I took a look at my passenger door and the molding on the top portion is slightly loose, as if the clips are about to fall off. I thought that could be the source of the sound, but then you would think that the sound would be present at most times -- not just when I'm accelerating.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I just checked again and it seems like it could be coming from the plastic cover on the side that houses the seat adjustment levers. The plastic cover isn't on very tightly and when I put pressure on it, it creaks and makes sounds.

How can I secure this so it's tighter?
