opinions needed fast please

im on holidays in a very remote area so no access to anything.

today i added 40$ petrol at a service station type ive never seen before, as i had about 10$ left in the tank.
drove about 5 miles and did an activity for an hour or so. returned to the car and after a couple of miles the engine started to vibrate causing the car to vibrate noticably. then the engine warning light came on and vibration persists mainly when i hit the gas. i drove her 10 miles back to where im staying vibrating like this.

do you think she is safe to drive the 250miles home tomorrow? or will i damage her?

shes a m54 engine 90k miles on the clock, no sign of any leaks etc.
im thinking maybe dirty petrol? would this damage anything?
maybe o2 sensors faulty?

any thoughts or theorys appreciated!

I would think the more you drive it the more damage you can cause due to bad fuel.

probably bad gas, diluted with water, or some BS. That or you don't know how to tell apart gas from diesel in Russian lol.

Sounds like you're misfiring. But really, what are you going to do? Syphon it out or tow the car. Drive it around or compensate with proper gas. In Europe they haven't even heard of 87 octane, here the cheapest gas is 96+

I doubt it was diesel, he wouldn't have made it out the gas station. Prolly bad gas. I know in europe at some remote areas the gas can be really bad deluted ****. Best bet is to get some hose and siphon it out. Get new gas with some injector cleaner or something and let it run for a bit.

OP probably solved the problem or exploded his engine by now. Bad gas used to stall my old car a lot, seafoam cleaned it and I stopped using Esso.

I wanted to add, lots of cars have an anti siphon design for the gas tank, a regular hose usually won't do it, in case anyone here is broke and still wants to look fly in their BMW.
