Honestly, it looked better before and I'm not a big fan of the blacked out tail lights but if you like it that's all that matters.

OEM bumper wouldnt of matched the front bumper. i have 20 $in this bumper, i made the whole lower half with fiberglass by hand. you must be one of those guys that dont do anything to there cars and it looks like every other bmw out there.

Which part makes it look civic?? Tail lights tinted? There are more contours than the picture shows, looking at the picture it looks completely flat.

You did a good job reshaping the bumper.

But as others have said, the bumper, nor the taillights, are my taste.

What do you want to see? My composites work? I'd rather spend $400 on an OEM bumper & something that flows with the lines of the car, not stick out and be awkward. I can appreciate you doing the work yourself as most can't, I would have just executed it differently, as would most on here. That's my opinion, which is what you were after. Other wise you wouldn't have posted pictures.

the black is hidding alot of the contours, the over all shape of the bumper is stock or what ever it is,i think it may have been a m-tech bumper.? not sure.the bottom half is what i reshaped, because it was all busted up and held together by duct tape and wire.the top half i just reglassed because it looked like he was hit at one time.i still need to put something behind the mesh to make it look more full. here is a better picture of it closer up.still dont show much.

this wouldn't be my first choice. but you have a limited budget
looks ok. probably looks better in person.
either way looks better than a cracked bumper. untint the tail lights though.

sorry guys, the bumpers were not factory. made in china was painted on the back side of the bumpers..they are a cheaply made bumper, very thin, and no gel coat.BMW doesnt make fiberglass bumpers anyway?? i bought this car cheap,2000$ from a guy on crack, seriously, I had to take the car to the local police station to have a drug dog sniff it out.found 2 crack pipes, one behind the ash tray the other broken apart under the cup holder. They didnt ask me any questions about the prior owner.took the pipes out and threw them in a trash bin. I buy cars, fix them up and sell them.this is why the police sniffed the car out for me,i didnt want to sell it and have anyone get nailed for something that was hiddin in the car. the guy was really out of his mind,he was asking 6800$ for the car.the car was trashed but only had 125xxx miles on it ,interior ripped up,carpet had burn holes in it,seats had burn holes it them, bumpers were held on by wire and wood screws, sun roof was duct taped close, door panels were destroyed, engine leaked oil bad, radiator split down the side, over flow tank cracked, a/c belt missing, a/c compressor siezed up,front tires shot, brakes metal to metal on all 4. ball joints bad.aftermarket headlights really looked bad.13 different shades of color on the car.it was painted silver, gold, blue ,white, red, green, teal, flat black, jet black, then metalic black.along with some primer between some of the coats of paint...so i started fresh and started sanding the car, thats when i noticed all the paint, figures it was just the hood. No,I sanded every panel ,they were all the same, had to chemical strip the whole car.primed it and shot it jet black after fixing all the damage.i really should of bought new bumpers.but i have about 50$ in fixing both front and rear bumpers. yeh you guys may not like them but in person they do look alot better.the over all shape stayed the same, it would of took too long to fix the rear bumper keeping it the same.the fins in the original picture was mostly cardboard and puddy.and with it being a really thin china bumper i just cut the inset out and made a new one.after the body work was done and the other things fixed, after a totally new cooling system,i was finally able to drive the car with out it over heating. thanks to this forum on that. but them 2nd gear started to slip..had to read up on that..again thanks to this forum.was just low on fluid, changed fluid, filter and pan gasket, trans shifts good engine runs good.oil leaks fixed, i have spent about 1,000$ on this car getting it ready to sell.but now i see why you guys love your cars so much, this is my first BMW after driving this car around its very addictive.. i cant see my self selling it..unless i find another bmw..seriously tho i have had all makes and models,or the big 3, this is one of the funnest cars to drive, they handle great ride great, but suck at power, but i guess thats the 323 part.still have alot of interior work to do though. but craigslist is a money saver.
