I bought this radar detector along with a Valentine 1. I was taking a road trip from IN to NC & I wanted to test them out after seeing countless threads comparing the two units. I have to say, I'm sad to let this guy go, but there's no way I can hold onto $750.00 worth of Radar Detectors & not feel some sort of pain. I was very impressed with the 9500ix as it compares to the V1 (v1.8). The 9500ix has never gone off when there wasn't a threat. It's a lot more quiet than the V1, as the V1 had me tapping the break everytime I heard K/Ka bands of radar going off. This had me speeding up, slowing down, & speeding back up. I finally muted the V1 & only listened for the Passport. When the passport did pick up a threatening radar, I had been alerted by the 9500ix a few seconds before the V1 & it wasn't until ~1/4-1/2 mile down the road that I would finally spot that state trooper shooting the radar. The Passport provided me with MORE than enough time to slow down, where as the V1 seemed to have an opinion about any band of non threatening radar that it picked up. The other feature that I like is the GPS feature, which you can program yourself or rely on it's database to identify speed cameras, traps, & other threatening locations programmed into the GPS unit. This is very useful, especially now adays where speed cameras are showing up more & more as a quick an easy way for them to pocket more of our money. The passport 9500ix is one of the best radar detectors out on the market today. This radar has saved me countless times on the interstate & to just think, it only takes one ticket & you might as well have put that money towards this unit than risk getting another one, not to mention court fees, insurance hike, community service, & a year of probation if you are as unlucky as I was....
This package comes with the Passport 9500ix, power cord (with mute button), as well as brand new suction cups to mount it securely on the window
