WTB: 03+ 325iT 2wd wagon touring up to $11k

I will travel anywhere in USA to get the right car.

I'm looking for as many options as possible, and have a few requirements.
I don't want a black or tiag car, pretty much any other will do.
only looking at 2wd, cannot be a m56 SULEV car... if you're not sure if yours is, send me your vin and i'll tell you.

I am currently looking at a mostly loaded 03' 325iT, Electric Red on Gray, Sport, Premium, HK, Auto for $10,500...

I like the odd colors, I just missed out on my perfect car a couple days ago(Topaz on Black, Sport, loaded) So if you have Topaz or mystic, thats is a huge +++++

There is one in Portland, Oregon. It's an 02 with an 09/2002 production date. I called on her and was in the midst of striking a deal until I ran an autocheck on her. She has a rebuilt/salvage title. Too bad because the color combo is rare (Oxford Green/Natural Brown), sport, premium, heated seats (pics are small and it may have the cold weather package and not just the heated seats).

Asking price is high for a rebuilt title car IMO.

That electric red was in Spring TX wasn't it? Some moron from Austin one up'd my offer on it (they conditionally accepted it, but that yahoo was already on their way). There was another in Davies Florida, but that one had more options.

I liked that Oxford green and especially natural brown interior but the build date didn't work for my use- my mother has a beautiful 01' 330cic in Oxford green, green convertible top, sand interior... Such a classy looking color.

I talked to both dealers on the cars- I was in preference of the red one in Davie, FL (gray interior) and had a deal worked out for $10k- but the buyer for my pickup truck couldn't get final financing. It was purchased by someone this past week... :-(

I'm dying to sell the truck because I need my wagon!!!

You're right on that Oxford, it's sweet, if it wasn't salvage I would have bought it myself lol. The Electric Red in Davie had a family that drove 4 hours (according to the dealer) to see the car and couldn't get financed. I was ready to pull the trigger but he said he had given them until monday to find financing, which they did. I never cursed so much in my entire life hahaha.

I too have been chasing them down lol. Best of luck, and I'll pass down anything I see as I have a deal pending on an 03 Ti/black.

BTW if you want to post some more info on exactly what you want it'll be helpful as there are some high mileage cars for around 7Gs, one in particular is Oxford.

I had another thread on here with more specifics- but my needs are that it be an m54 motor, production date of 03/2003 or later(ms45.1 ecu), the MAF will have 5 wires if it is in fact an ms45.1.
That's all I "require", but I would much prefer a sport package, fully optioned... for example that one you posted is perfect - well it's only 3 options off of perfection... Cold Weather(incl headlight washers), navigation, and manual...

I'll be calling on that green wagon, but the price is slightly higher than i wanted.

I like the grey interior better! Yeah the tan is kind of a downer.

I did purchase the one I was in the process of making the deal on. It arrived a few days ago. I am pleased, however I can't help looking around as I've been doing this for months and am wondering if anything else will pop up that would be better suited to my needs lol.

There was also a Topaz one in cali for 1199X with a grey interior on autotrader. Don't know if you saw that one.

Congtrats on the touring! have you posted any photos yet? The buyer yesterday wanted to give me $$$ today for the truck, but I can;t find my title.. He wants my truck bad and the price is really great so he's willing to wait the extra week or 2 for me to get the new title.

I haven't seen a topaz one... that's my uber color of choice! I have seen a number of the darker mystic blue, steel blue, etc... but only the one Topaz Blau that I missed out on in NC a month ago... send me a link, because its not showing up in my searches.

I mixed it all up. There is a Topaz but it's an xi and an 01 model, although not advertised as such, it clearly is.

The one I was mixed it up with is Orient blue, but has then tan interior...

I haven't taken any pics yet. I need to really clean her up before doing that. There are 3 dings that need to be PDR'd, tint, and a full detail to do before she is presentable lol.

Oh yeah, i block out anything that isn't 03-05 or 2wd... whenever i see a topaz in something the wrong year or xi... it makes me start thinking that I should just get it and figure out the swap later... but that's just not realistic with the amount of free time i have and my budget.

That orient is one ive been looking at also... I will definitely be selling my truck in 2-3 weeks when i can replace my title, the buyer is giving me a deposit to hold the truck for him.
So- now my search can go into overdrive, and I can be confident about placing a deposit on a car if i find the right one... Here's to hoping a topaz touring shows up soon!

I have the autotrader setup with notification, and I search craigslist country wide for "325 wagon", "325i wagon", "325it" at least once a day. I'm going to meet with a local guy to watch the auction sites for me on monday- if he finds something he just charges $500 over auction cost...

It's okay- a lead on a car that doesn't meet what I want is better than no lead at all!
And yeah, SULEV is a major no no.

Not sure what this guys wants, but the color combo is very nice. No cold weather package, no stand alone heated seats option, no PDCs, but sport, premium, xenons, HK, and navi. Oh and it's manual or at least is manual now.

Can I ask what the difference is between the ones you want or don't? Sorry to derail slightly (free bump ), I only ask because I'm hoping to pick up an e46 xit in the next couple of weeks myself and don't want to pick up a problematic car...more of an e30 expert, unfortunately.

Hey, sounds like it would have been a fantastic candidate... Unfortunately I'm my searching for the perfect wagon to build upon I found a killer deal on an Imola zhp. So for the near future I am no longer in search of a wagon.
