Totally forgot he mentioned his last name too. He was always known as Kyle Butler around the family right? And yeah, he had that "I know what you did" look on his face

^ Well you guys do remember that Quinn had talked to him a while back, when he was suspicious of Dexter, and was going around questioning after the artist did the rendering of the description all four family members gave. I can't remember if he used his name or anything, but I know Quinn sort of gave it away that he suspected Dexter was Kyle Butler....maybe he was able to piece it together from there.

Next weeks episode is definitely going to be pretty crazy, Brian coming back as Dexter's "Dark Passenger" and we really see Dexter's dark side. It was interesting that at the end of last episode that Harry commented on Mos Def saying how he "could see the light in Dexter", Harry saying that he wishes he was able to have seen that more to; wishing he could have changed Dexter more. I think what we are going to see with Brian, is what Dexter might have been like if Harry had not intervened as much as he did...he would not be able to control it as much as he can.

Also we see Travis wanting to separate himself from the Professor and the whole Doomsday thing (I still believe the professor is a figment/split personality in Travis's mind) and we will see him trying to get rid of his darkness.

I'm really getting the feeling this will be either the final season or second to last....both because of the direction the show is heading and the problems between Showtime and Michael C Hall.

If they do end it it definitely would be on top and leave on a good note, which I'd much rather have than drag out for me and kill the show...they currently haven't renewed for Season 7. I've read Hall wants $24 mil for two seasons and Showtime is only willing to go for $20 mil. Guess they are possibly renegotiating for one season.

I think that Brian's re-appearance represents Dexter's "Dark Passenger" fighting for itself, his dark side. If Dexter is really wondering if he could overcome his urges and abolish his dark side, it only stands to reason his dark side would defend itself, ie Brian's return.

Or we all could be way over-thinking this stuff.

Still sticking to my original hypothesis, the "professor" wouldn't allow him to walk knowing he could go tell. It's him battling his conscience.

This episode was just a filler, I like his dark passenger but at the same time I enjoy his normal killing, this is their way of mixing it up so the show isn't too boring.

I thought it was a good filler episode, nice break from all the other stuff. The short addition of Brian was refreshing and different, and pretty funny actually. Still wondering if/how the new intern is going to fit into this season

I feel like Masuka's intern is wayyy too interested in Dexter.

I think the game he is creating might be ABOUT Dexter... it feels like he knows what Dexter does.

I liked it, switched things up a bit and showed what Dexter would have been like had Harry not been there to help him as much as he did. I enjoyed the banter between Dexter and Brian. However even though this was just a bit of a filler episode I think they showed some important things that tie in to Travis's "relationship" with the Professor. Even though we knew Brian was dead we see him eating food and interacting with what appear to be real objects, something Harry doesn't do. And when Dexter killed the motel guy Brian was the one who appeared to "stab" him first w/ the pitchfork, but in reality it was Dexter who did it. I think this is very similar to how Travis is really doing all the actions and his conscious/dark passenger is playing out the Professor doing these things.

Big props to Dexter though for banging the gas station girl and stealing the gun, driving through Nebraska and shooting sh!t

My Ride: Breaks too often
The girl Travis release said there were two people having a conversation. No body thinks the professor is still alive?

I watched that scene closely and the girl said he was talking to someone referring to him as "professor". But she never said she heard his voice I don't think.

Miami PD is for sure on to Travis.

That was... interesting. While it was a very intriguing tangent, I'm glad it was temporary.

Jennifer Carpenter seemed really distracted in this episode, and her expression changed at every cut. Wonder if this episode was rushed (perhaps videography errors), or if she was just not on her A-game.

is DDK still Ghellar? or should I say is Travis and Ghellar the same person still? it was interesting how they showed the professor on the balcony in the church. I could be completely wrong but this whole two-sided person thing can still be true.

great episode. next week's will be awesome.

Only Travis saw Ghellar on the balcony. He conveniently ducked out of sight before Dexter turned around.

I think Travis' sister is his comfort place, his safety zone to get away from his other side(professor). But I wouldn't be shocked if he kills her for some emotional reason.
