Yup, this is why I will go get a quote from the dealers, if there is not a big price difference I usually take the one at the dealers, as its just less risk to have them import it for me, but in some cases the dealers here are so massively more expensive that is only makes sense to import myself. I have to say seeing all the places that sell proper BMW parts and proper aftermarket parts kinda makes me wish I lived in the US

In term of the performance bit, that is what I have been trying to say, meh, I am just calling it what BMW calls it, kinda like being able to get an e90 320i M-sport....

So went to BMW today for a price. The part number doesn't show up on their system, but is on the extended system of stuff that can be ordered, the reason for this, no one in SA has ever ordered this before (according to them). Unfortunately, they can't order it for me as it was taken off the list of items that can be ordered due to lack of demand
Guess I could try a couple of other dealers, maybe they can do something, but I doubt it, looks like if I find this I will have to get it myself.

Just paint your grills yourself man, it shouldn't cost more than $20USD. Sand paper, primer, gloss black paint and clear coat.

I've yet to see chrome grills that look better than the black, either gloss or matte; one of the best aesthetic mods to the E46 that can be done IMO, and one of the cheapest.

Listen to Jake---I had the matte, sprayed them to match the gloss on the rest of the car; they look and fit perfectly.

Like I said before I have painted grilles on my car at the moment, but the paint doesn't last very long. Just gets worse over time due to stone chips.
