Bmw cd53

Evening Fellas...and ladies if your out there

I purchased a CD53 and I am having a bit of a issue. I followed along the same path as one of the members named White46 here but when I connect everything and I hit mode it just goes straight to the CD and says no disc. Am I doing something wrong?

Needs to be a 2003+ unit. I see yours says September 01. Might be your problem.

You may have bridged a solder. you put a cd in and then hooked your device up correct?

Did you insulate the wires coming off of the board? when you have a cd in an nothing hooked up hows the quality? Also I did burn a cd with silent tracks on it to use for this purpose. also check the setting on your phone I know my old nexus had to be put into a dock mode or something like that. try another device just to be sure

How is the quality with this soldering of the L, R and GND wires to the stereo?
I know you said the CD output sounds perfect, but what about when it's connected to the device?

Also, what did you use to insulate the wires coming off the stereo board?
