P1522 code after new Vanos seals & 2 new CPS

I have a p1522 code- generic code scanner indicates that the there's a problem with the exhaust camshaft actuator.

I recently replaced the Vanos seals and both camshaft position sensors.

I also took off the exhaust Vanos and found that the piston was stuck in the closed position. After applying pressure, it broke free. I reset the code, but it came back after a couple of days of driving.

The car seems to have slightly less torque and gas mileage.

Could it be that I need a new spring piece for the interface at the exhaust solenoid of the Vanos? Or maybe the wiring that supplies power to the solenoids needs to be replaced?

Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
