The JL audio speakers are 6"x9" ....
The focal speakers are 6.5"...
The JL AUDIO W3v3 is a 12 inch sub.... I can give you measurements for the box enclosure if you are interested...
They came from my other car... Just double check with the specs of the e46s...

Any idea if the Focals will fit the front doors of an e46 sedan without cutting into the door panels?

Thanks

I'm sure there's a DIY for that. The car that I installed it in said that the regular speaker size was 5.25 and I was able to fit this speaker in.

i just installed the 6.5 components in my front door panel but i had to cut and make an MDF mount for them. not a tough job and worth the sound upgrade. a simple reciprocating saw with cut thru the door panel. becareful to move all the wiring from behind the area where you will be cutting. there is a nice DIY on this.
