Did you use gaskets on the rear shock mounts? Have you gotten an alignment?

Have you jacked up each wheel and shaken it to look for play?

So the problem only started after you did shocks and springs?

yes.. i have put new gaskets on top of the new shock mount...

i will jack it up and look for play....!. ( responde later)

no... the problem was there before too... i was thinking it was the Shock mounts... pull them out... both looking good.. no crack no shaking too much on the rubber ( but i replaced w/ NEW ones)..... sooo what could cause a cracking sound when turning 160 degree angle and when its wave street... liikee....'. front left wheel UP, FRONT RIGHT WHEEL DOWN, then Rear left side down and rear right wheel up... it makes a cracking sound too... like high hill kinda wave road still... causes the cracking sound. when going over bumps too... and car shakes from side to side way to much.... what holds the car from shaking so much side to side? subframe bushing? REAR sway-bar ?

I would think its shocks.... but you go outside and pump the car down, its very hard,stiff.... not too much going down and up.. as if you were jumping the rear up&down... of course - its a rear 1999 m3 shock sport from bavauto.com .. ( e46 bilstein sport known to fail ) i did not want to risk it!.

Ahh! That sounds like a sway bar issue.

Check the links, bushings, and brackets.

The sway bar itself is probably fine. Everything that mounts it to the car is suspect in my opinion. Look at the endlinks and the brackets that hold the bushings.

Numbers 2, 3, and 6 here:

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...42&hg=33&fg=45

If you want to upgrade, get the HnR rear bar from Turner. It comes with bushings, but you would still need new endlinks and possibly brackets.

I've gone ghetto troubleshooting for swaybar sounds. Spray a healthy dose of your favorite lube on links and bushings. You can use the spray can extension tube to squirt into rubber bushing sides. Anyway, after your "lube job", you listen for changes with a quick drive. Sometimes creaks, pops and squawks are worse or completely gone. Either way it's great to know you're on the right track with swaybar issues.

+1
As for the endlinks, read my post with pictures here:
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ht=tele&page=4
...you can us the OEM links, but! you will have to use smaller bolts, far too small (in my opinion) for the holes in the H&R sway bar.
