330i vs Altima SE-R

My friend and I went out on a little drive together, he has an Altima SE-R.
I use to want one but absolutely hated the fact of it being dun dun dunnnn... front wheel drive!!! Its a quick car and has more hp and torque than our e46's, but i believe its a little heavier but as i looked at his weight and mine online his really isnt much heavier at all.. IF at all from what i could find (which im still not sure)
Hes been talking it up saying his car is faster.. and honestly I thought it would be but we raced from a dig at a traffic light and I won :
He said he underestimated the power of my 330i and thought he would stomp me! Here are some figures of our cars..

2002 BMW 330i ZSP
RWD
year: 2002
Horse Power: 225 @ 5900 RPM
Curb Weight: 3285-3362 lbs *couldnt find exact weight of sport 330i*
Torque @ RPM: 214 @ 3500 RPM
Engine: 3.0 liter I6
Transmission: Auto

Nissan Altima SE-R
FWD
year: 2006
Horse Power: 260hp @ 6,000 rpm
Curb Weight: 3316 lbs.
Torque @ RPM: 251 ft lb @ 3600 rpm
Engine: 3.5 liter V6
Transmission: Auto

0-60 times states manual for manual his car is more matched up with a ZHP more than my car but since both of our cars were Auto's, I actually won.

Anyways thought this would be interesting to any of you wondering as my friend and I have been curious. I know for a fact i would stomp him around a track but from a dig I was a little surprised even though i thought it would be a very even match, he was half a car length behind me.. over all very close race.. thought i would share the experience

*cool story bro* moment haha

Nice...unless the car in front of me is a BMW, Audi, VW, Volvo or SAAB...I usually don't even register it.

i killed a new 5 series in my 330i w/zhp. it was on an on ramp. a curved one. he was on the outer lane, i was in the inner. it was one of the ones where the lanes converged into one. and he was tryin' to get in the lane before me. i gunned it. my dsc light was flashin' crazy as i hugged the inner lane and i beat him, and kept gunnin' it
by the time i looked down, i was doin' 120 and he was in the rear tryin' to catch up. no dice. because i weaved in and out of traffic and dusted him off! this was at night, so it wasn't "much" traffic on the 405 at 12:30am. but yeah, don't try to play the e46's cheap, yo.

The gearing of a car is often overlooked. I would guess that the transmission gearing ratios are better in your 330 vs. that of the Altima. Your buddy's Altima probably better on the 60 - 100 mph rolling start times.

So what, I am in 2nd year college and this is only my second car. Just because someone drive a fuking a M3 doesnt mean he can be an asswipe and be a danger to every else on the road.

Nothing, I'm the one saying street racing is cool, not you. Actually it is cool if you get to win from time to time, otherwise it is ... well, you know!

Im 21.. Just telling my experience on a friend and I seeing who's car was faster off the line for fun. Not like I race people on a daily basis being a hazard to everyone else on the road.. that is plain stupid I have actually never raced anyone before in my car
