That's right. I figured it was you. You're absolutely right. I attached the existing one and noticed right away. There was a good 4 inches more on the new lines. Good thing I've decided to keep the new rotors and lines.

The pads are definitely dusty which made my wheels gray when I bedded them. At this point I may use till next spring since it will be hardly used during the winter.

I melted the piston dust seals (not the actual brake seals) during my last track day. It is a fairly common problem with most track guys using aftermarket track pads that retain alot more heat.

I highly recommend using the brake line provided as it is significantly longer than the original OEM lines. I see no real reason or benefit to use OEM rubber line with the setup.





The setup is great deal for those looking for a bigger caliper with a much larger surface brake pad. I made my own thread about my impressions so far.

Derek covered everything I just wanted to reinforce that the "heat problems" is due to aggressive track pads. With the pads provided with the kit we have not had any issues reported to us.

I love them. They stop like normal 330i brakes and so much more during track days. The noise from the cross-drilled rotors and the harsh trackpad imprint is a little loud for the street. I do not mind so much since I still have radio to zone it out! lol

The brakes helped a lot for my braking distances at track days for sure.


Does help to look awesome too with the Phoenix Yellow calipers.
