That's right. I figured it was you. You're absolutely right. I attached the existing one and noticed right away. There was a good 4 inches more on the new lines. Good thing I've decided to keep the new rotors and lines.

The pads are definitely dusty which made my wheels gray when I bedded them. At this point I may use till next spring since it will be hardly used during the winter.

Is there a heat issue with this brake kit? Or am I misreading?

Any instructions come with this kit with recommendations in the bedding procedure? or what are your thoughts on it

If the lines are longer in this kit, is it still useable or would you recommend using existing stock brake lines? (which is probably not the best choice) I'm a bit confused

Now that you have them installed what is your honest opinion is it worth the purchase? do you actually feel a big difference?

Sorry what does bedding mean?

I melted the piston dust seals (not the actual brake seals) during my last track day. It is a fairly common problem with most track guys using aftermarket track pads that retain alot more heat.

Bedding brakes is can be best explained by these folks

http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

I highly recommend using the brake line provided as it is significantly longer than the original OEM lines. I see no real reason or benefit to use OEM rubber line with the setup.

The setup is great deal for those looking for a bigger caliper with a much larger surface brake pad. I made my own thread about my impressions so far.

Derek covered everything I just wanted to reinforce that the "heat problems" is due to aggressive track pads. With the pads provided with the kit we have not had any issues reported to us.

I love them. They stop like normal 330i brakes and so much more during track days. The noise from the cross-drilled rotors and the harsh trackpad imprint is a little loud for the street. I do not mind so much since I still have radio to zone it out! lol

The brakes helped a lot for my braking distances at track days for sure.

Does help to look awesome too with the Phoenix Yellow calipers.

mmmmm beer... wait stop the boozing and get the brakes installed! Then after some "enthusiastic driving" sit back in the garage with a few cold ones and admire your new brakes!
