Like 4-5? I dunno, never paid much attention to it. But they were poor form, now they are just an orgasm in a can.

Chins feel more natural now and I can do them weighted.

I've been doing weighted chin ups with holding a dumbbell between my ankles... yesterday I checked out a dip belt they had at the front desk.

I haven't used a belt in a few years and was suprised at this style. You step into it and you're unable to tighten it around your waist as it just hangs on your lower back. It worked well, just kinda like the ones you can tighten like a belt.

Plates are much better than the dumbbells between ankles though.

I was able to bang out 6 reps with a 45 plate. Felt great.

My new favorite "machine". No more spotter needed. No lame guides smith machines. Can go to failure and not risk injury. And can use this just about everyday for my work outs. Now if I could just put it on hold daily for an hour. Haha. Click image for larger version

Are you still working out at La Fitness? I just signed up, haven't switched gyms yet though.

How much noise do you make when you're doing deadlifts there. At my current Uni gym people are bangin weights all day. I know LA Fitness ain't no Planet Fitness, I was just wondering

I work out at Fitness 19 or the Oly gym at a local private college. As far as the noise, I'm not a noisy lifter, especially when I dead lift. When I squat heavy I will exert a bit, but I'm still not noisy. I also control the descent on my dead lifts, so I rarely bang weights around. People are more noisy while using 20 lb. dumbbells than I am deadlifting 405+.

I didn't get to them last night, so I performed my bench workout. I'll get to them this afternoon. My max is 315 lbs., so I will probably bang out heavy singles using 275 lbs.

I'm noticing that the more the weight goes up, the more I grunt. I'm not screaming or making moaning sounds like the dude beside me yesterday was... that will make people give you the WTF look.

Not even really a grunt, more just snorting like a bull does lol. And taking in breaths at the top of the rep, sort of to pump myself up for the next one.
