That's pretty sweet. Wish I had the space to do such. Would be better than going to the gym. Can't give up my garage though. Haha

We did something a little different today.

Box Squats- 135x20, 185x15, 225x12, 275x8, 315x5, 365x2, 365x2

Leg press- 225 x failure x 3sets

Then got out the road bikes and rode 5 miles sprinting every other telephone pole. My legs are still shaking and it's been 2 hrs since my workout. Now I get to go to work for 10 hrs...

Walk into LA Fitness. PACKED. See dude on flat bench doing dumbbell rows, see guy on decline bench doing crunches. I miss the university gym

I hate that ****. Too often do I see people using squat racks for barbell curls when there are open "preacher" racks available. Annoys me. Once summer is over there will be a lot less of it though.

I'm gonna try to do some muscle ups today at the gym. I can pull myself up pretty high and fast on the bar right now, I'm sure the press part is a nig though.

Took me a couple months playing around with my foot position to get it right. I could never quite feel it in my lat... So today I did a few high rep (25reps) warmup sets first. And then I really felt the contraction in my lat!

Thanks for sharing this.
Everybody, behave and stop bickering. This is about inspiring more people to get into fitness. I've never understood people who argue constantly about who is wrong and who is right in fitness, because the fact is, there are many "right" answers, especially for people just starting out.
Do you think Sergio Oliva and I did the same thing? No. In fact, you could walk into Gold's and watch the 5 best guys and see 5 completely different routines. And you know what? We didn't argue.
Do me a favor. Try to focus more on expanding the fitness community as a whole than protecting your little corner of it.

Most of my weight training happens at my step father's gym. He turned his basement into a full gym with more equipment than a lot of public gyms I've been in. Easily $50k worth of equipment. 5 Olympic barbells, 2 squat racks, a smith machine, plates for days, 2 sets of every dumbbell from 10-100lbs, cable machines, too much to list! He also lives across the street from a huge grass hill so that's where I get a lot of my sprinting in. Best part is, it's all free...

If I'm not there I'm at CATZ training with my buddy. Again, he trains athletes there so I have no gym fees.

And of course my mixed martial arts gym.

I've been doing this so long, I get bored quick. So I bounce around from gym to gym.

Oh, and today I used a 45# kettle bell.

Looking forward to this one. I love the incentive I came up with to not let the bar down in the metcon. After doing 6 rounds of a wod the other day with 5 95lb hang cleans it's going to be rough to get the 5 115lb cleans after using my grip so much on deads, pull ups etc.

Workout of the day:
Strength
3x5 Deadlift
3x max rep Pull Ups

Metcon
5 Rounds for time
7 115lb Deadlifts
5 115lb Hang Cleans
3 115lb Push Press
*All done without putting the bar down. Dropped bar=10 burpee penalty
