So my colleague and I have traditionally done chest/tris day one back/bis day two day three break and then rinse repeat... some days we'll throw in shoulders instead of the rest day..

this past week, we have done one muscle group each day. Chest Monday, Biceps tuesday, tris wed, and today is back.. tomorrow shoulders.

What are your take on this routine? Is it better to do a single muscle group like this? We end up not doing any compound exercises and I'm still doing NO legs which is a huge no no.. need to integrate that somehow

yea not good man.

Either do compound lifts 3x a week like a SS program, a traditional bodybuilding split, or a combo of the two.

There's no reason I would ever walk into a gym for a biceps day. You're wasting your time and missing out of better progress imo. All those muscles should be worked by compound movements and assistance work. Tell your friend that starting tonight things are changing lol

I did like 500 air squats yesterday. I was helping my dad in the yard for an hour and he kept telling me to do them until I couldn't.

If you spend more than 30 minutes doing a bicep workout, you're wasting time...and even that is a lot of time.

Edit: all that time on small muscle groups and no legs? It's not difficult to look at that routine, see tons of time is being wasted on arms, consolidate arms, and add a leg day.

robbing with a sword is a good thing
