Sweet! I'm going to make one of those vids too.

I worked my front squat and hang cleans this a.m. (..I love 5am workouts) and tested myself with 225 lbs. again. I'm comfortable with it. I'll likely shoot for 235-240 lbs. next week. I bumped up my hang cleans to 185 lbs. Slow and steady progression.

You know what? I just realized that Curtis posted that. Time to edit my previous post. LOL! That's what I get for not paying attention.

What do you guys think about front squats with crossed arms?

I haven't done front squats in awhile, but that is how I would do them before as it just felt more comfortable. And I have shoulder issues now, so I don't think I could even hold the bar in a clean grip.

It's not about my wrists. When I try a clean position right now, my left elbow is pointing out to the side whereas my right elbow is pointed forward. Maybe it's different with an actual bar in my hands, idk. It's getting better, but I'm all weird like that at the moment.

I agree with this. The crossed arm and/or strap methods just don't allow enough torque to get the weight up once you get into the heavier weights....

....well, at least not for me. I tried all 3, and the crossed arm/strap methods just seemed like a liability.

it will round your back more and you wont be able to really push yourself imo. aside from trying to bail out if you need to drop it

Surprising goof day today after 10 or 11 days in a row on

2.5 mile run at 7:13 pace (don't usually run first but had to due to family obligations)

Got home and benched up to 5 sets of 3 at 255.

Good balance of light and heavy and happy with the time and weights.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Bimmer App
