The first time I did grace in a respectable time I think I set a metronome so that it was beeping every 9 or 10 seconds. It was easy at first but a struggle to keep up by rep 20 or so.

It helped me pace and get a better overall time now.

Best time time now is low 2s. I'm due for another attempt but I'm about to take a week off for the first time in a year.

I'm going to do my best to just pace myself. I think I can realistically get through about 7-8 really fast if I wanted but I don't want to burn out. My typical style is to start fast, slow down, then kill it at the end but I will probbaly stay consistent with my pace for this wod. I'm hoping to get it done in under 6 minutes but I honestly have no idea what this will take me. I will admit it intimidated the sh1t out of me before last fridays work with the 135 clean and presses. I thought something like this would take me 20 minutes because of my strength.

BTW I'll be wearing my spun tshirt, socks and shorts while doing it so hopefully I don't embarrass myself lol.

definitely will. My friend is very cool about holding the camera for me for these wods. He's a decent motivator too. The other guy, isn't at all. He usually just watches lol.

did a workout for time today.

Squat cleans: 155LB: 7 reps
KB resistance band swings: 35LB+ band: 14 reps

10:31

actually a pretty tough workout. my lower back was on fire.

then did sets of 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 on deads. 465 with pretty bad form. stood up really quick

then i did some BB bench: sets of 3-3-3-3-3: 185-215-225-235-245 (guess i had more in my bench then i thought)

then finished with 3x10:
TRX pike saws
TRX ultimate pushups

No. I will within the next week or so. I pulled a deadlift pr last Monday, had a vasectomy Tuesday and have just layed around since.

I'm not doing anything til Wednesday at the earliest.

My time might be slower than my pr now though since I'm pretty deconditioned right now.

part of me thinks there's no way I'll be repping even 225 on front squats. Is there a point where you guys just skyrocketed up? My gains are soooo slow lol. Although I am eating like an idiot and not nearly enough

I thought the same thing 2 months back when I began front squatting with 65 lbs. Read it again........65 lbs. Now 225 lbs. is easy for me! I've been on a steady climb, but I also lift differently than you do. I look to better my max lifted the prior week by a minimum of 5 lbs., but I shoot for 10 lbs. when I'm feeling especially energetic (..so in any given month my max weight lifted for 3-5 reps increases by 20-40 lbs.). That may be the reason behind your much slower gains in terms of sheer lifting ability.
