I don't know how that would fly at my school rec center... and I wouldn't be caught dead in converse's. I'd rather come in with just tape wrapped around my foot.

Just take your shoes off and put them next to the rack.

Believe me, I've tried.

Fvcking staff won't even let me lift without putting clamps to secure weight on barbells.

Oh, you won't spot me? I can't dump the weight, I guess I'm just going to have to kill myself when I hit failure.

Last Monday's DC workout. The slashes are for rest pause sets. All negatives for push movements were at least six seconds. It's not 100% true DC, but DC style.

Seated Hammer Strength Chest Press: 275 x 12/3/1
Smith Military: 185 x 12/4/1
Overhead Hammer Strength Triceps: 200 x 10/2/1
Rack deadlifts: 495 x 12/3/1
Pulldowns: 190 x 10/5/4/1

Thanks. We bought this house about a year ago and that bathroom is the addition we put on. Favorite room in the house.

That's gorgeous. Are those double doors your closets?

Yep. Weird set up since we turned the second bedroom into the master bedroom since this was the only place we could put the addition. As a result there was only one little three foot closet in this room, so we moved a wall and put on an addition, a good chunk of which was closet space.

You're from Santa Clara. You commenting on the number of hippies/yuppies you see is like someone from Tennessee commenting on how many people have southern accents.

Had to post this somewhere since it was a very emotional weight for me:

My wife's grandfather who I was really close with told me this was the most weight he ever clean and jerked when he was younger. I'd been trying to get this since the day of his funeral and yesterday it finally happened. You can hear the laugh (or whatever you call it) when I realize I'm going to make the lift. He clean and jerked this weighing 140lbs at 17 years old right before he joined the service to go fight in WWII. True bada55 and one of the greatest men I've known. Felt good to honor him in one of the only ways I could think of. RIP.
