Alright so I have a question about pull ups (palms out)

Could you explain why flat bar is easier or harden than a curved bar?

Could you explain why a bar with a larger diameter is easier or harder?

There are lots of pull up bars available at my gym, but I found one that IMO is the easiest and the most comfortable to do.

It's the Life Fitness power rack with thicker bars on it and they are at a pretty decent angle.

The questions posted above I'm asking just so I know the reasoning behind this, my wingspan? stronger parts of my body so it's easier ect...

Here it is...

A little sunday funday picture.

Did cleans x7 @225
Sandbag squats x7 @ 150lbs
Db rows x10/arm @92lbs
Elevated push-ups on the db's x20
20 sledgehammers on the tire
10 superman saws on the Val slides (furniture carpet moving slides)

Went around 3 times. Pretty brutal.

Did a metabolic after
Brisk sandbag walk uphill (200 yards approx) then back down
Sprint uphill and jog back downhill

Sweetbro, I think curved is easier since you don't have to pull as far (may be wrong) and widers bars are harder because of grip strength.

Well you're crazy lol.

Ya maybe the thickness isn't that significant between the other bars in the gym, maybe it has to do with the angle too.

I had a couple friends go to Navy Dive school in Pensacola and the pull up bar they used there is about 3-4" thick, you basically have to hang on with the tips of your fingers lol. It was tough to say the least, but they both came back pretty fkn swole.

Looks fun lol. Have you ever tried incline DB presses from the highest degree and then dropping a click with each set, it's a killa.

Weighted dips without a belt, having to hold them between your legs, have you found it impossible to remain slightly pitched forward?

I never did the incline at the most then lower it. IMO that becomes more shoulder work.

I use a vest so I have no idea what it even feels like to hold DB's with your feet or legs

I haven't done a single "ab" exercise in over a year, just hot yoga and compound lifts.

I will be the guinea pig for rippetoes theories, as I plan to have visible abs by end of july... here's hoping there are some beneath this fat

Thrusters kill my wrists man. I wish I would have opened a separate account just for rower money. I'd have it by now.

What are your goals this season? Monday I do back to the Justin Lascek S&C program. I liked it the best. I'll probably do a little more conditioning than he plans though.

Pull ups and chins are getting super comfortable now. New favorite exercise. It's fun to superset them with bench, keeps that heart rate up.
