Best way is through your dealer. It'll run you around $300.00 or so though.

I've been quoted $170-175 for a new BMW key. The dealer or indy dealer needs your current registration and Driver's license. It will take about a week to get it to you.

Depends if you want a new FOB key or just a regular key. I got an extra key from the dealer, just basic with a little light on it, and I'm 100% sure it was less than $75 CAN.

shouldn't take a week, they usually come in overnight to the dealer.

pricing heavily depends on the dealer, they vary quite a bit between dealerships.

You can't have one cut because they have to be coded to the ews. They come coded from the dealer so all you have to do is program the locks.

Went through this when I misplaced my keys at a friends party. $165 for master key at dealer shipped overnight. Luckily it turned up a few days later or I would of been pissed.

Really??

I bought my car off-lease and only got 1 key. I've always wanted another, but the $200+ price has put me off all this time. For $130-ish, I'm game.

^ Yep, exactly. At that price, I purchased one and included it with the sale of my car, just to make it that *little* bit more complete.
