AA C30 Stage 2 S/C kit - 'maf calibrator' - replace remove?

Hi

I picked up a 330 which as the older A/A C30 SC kit with a stage2 setup. The MAF calibrator box is somewhat falling apart, as are the wires that go into it. Upon further inspection and wanting to re-wire it with new ones I can't as its encased in a protective coating. I get intermittent revving / stumbling issues and suspect that is either the problem or my MAF is pooped out, as I get the p0171/0174 codes and have been through:

Someone mentioned to me at a BMW meet that it maybe possible to get rid of the MAF calibrator all together and use a porsche MAF sensor instead...

Does anyone have any info on this? I'm a little hesitant to drop 700 on the porsche maf to try without getting more info first

Appreciate any info / help

thanks

Jonathan

Hey Jonathan,

Congrats on picking up our C30-94 Rotrex Kit for your E46 330. It looks like you need a new scaler box. It would better and safer to pick up a new one from us that way we can provide one that is calibrated for the E46 330. Stick to the OEM MAF the Porsche 803 is intended towards the E36 Vehicles. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a PM or contact me directly via E-Mai at Viral@activeautowerke.com

Hi Viral

Thanks, I'll shoot you an email with these questions later today. Would the new C38 S/C on the 330 setup also use this 'scaler' box ? On the non safer side, is there any retune/flash option to deal with a different maf, sort of a custom setup?

thanks,

Jonathan
