What an awesome build! The thing that really impresses me is that you've done this all yourself without using a workshop except for specialty items.
Congrats on building yourself an amazing sleeper PS - in for vids!

I must have done something right. I wasn't expecting strangers to comment/compliment on pretty much stock looking car (although it is kind of rare to see a station wagon in North America). People roll down their windows and talk to me about wheels, BMWs, wagons ... . Guy in nice S4 asked me what I had under the hood. Obviously he knew enough about BMWs to know stock 325s don't pull like this

Such an excellent job! I really enjoyed the read, would be interested in more information about costs and difficulties associated with the six speed swap and the LSD, im debating between a LSD like yours or a M3 subframe and 6speed swap...

Stu (330iZHP) could probably chime in on the M3 rear end swap option.

Custom driveshaft then? Where did you find the m3 rear end? Can you pm me some info? I don't want to take over this thread with an unrelated topic

this is just f@ckin awsome man, great job. Did you get the timing/ping-ing issue figured out? or you just leaving it and letting it do what it wants to do?
