This half was easy, putting it all back together will be tricky.
Went to pick up new flywheel bolts at the stealership to find out the idiot inthe parts department ordered just one! He should have the other 7 tomorrow.
This evening I'm gonna fight with the old transmission (to make some room in the garage).

UPDATE: no fighting required, it separated easily. My clutch assembly confusion came from one small bearing that was included with the clutch kit. The 6speed flywheel uses completely different bearing for the end of transmission input shaft but the clutch part number is correct.

Hmm, that's weird. The M3 motor mounts are about 5mm taller. It's already pretty tight fit for the PS tank with ESS supercharger. I wonder if that's gonna cause problems

UPDATE: The engine and transmission are in. I was enjoying how easy it was to install headers only to find out I would have to remove one half when I went to put the engine in. Doh!
Thanks Stu for suggesting lowering the subframe. If I'm gonna do this again I'll take out the suspension and steering completely.
There isn't much more I can do until some more boxes arrive (from ESS, ECS, and HPA). I'll work on small things like the mirrors and gauges.

Yeah, that was funny. I'm still surprised you recognized me. I was gonna find you again in the store to tell you to get at least 3ton jacks. The base of the 2ton jacks is smaller so they are easier to tip over.

Thanks! I actually went to KMS tools and picked up a nicer quality OTC jack for 27 bucks. I saw the 15 dollar one at Princess Auto and the quality wasn't good

Crap, how did I miss this? (bottom of the oil filter housing, tensioner mounting point)

Luckily I can take parts from the b25 motor.

That was plan B. Managed to get it in without lifting (just tilted it forward).
Shift linkage is in. That's pretty exciting, I never had a 6-speed car.

so F me for saying how easy it is...

the painter had broken the right hood release/latch and I cannot open the hood...but that is secondary

I am trying to do the final (I hope) install of the custom section one and I cannot get to the 2nd O2 on bank one. So, I am having to drop bank two header. Without getting it from the top it makes life a little pita.

Also, I had properly tucked teh O2 wiring back under the center engine cover - so again, I need to get into the engine bay

UGH

I wasn't really ranting. After reading about your troubles my problems look like nothing.
One thing I can rant about is how we get screwed on importing stuff from US.
Just got a $500 bill for $1200 order. $140 of that is tax the rest is all bullshit fees.
