330ci, Drivers window, not working properly.

Hello,

I'm not sure of the correct terminology, but; My 2001 330ci window just started acting differently. it will no longer "express close", and the door open and exit adjust functionality has also ceased.

I just bought the car and love it. Reportedly the old owner had it into BMW and they replaced the drivers door limit switch, I'm guessing for the same problem.

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Window regulators are one of the biggest design fails on the e46's... be prepared to replace your regulator soon. From my experience, dont get the e-bay regulators.

i've read forums about features like auto locks disappearing out of the blue so this could be a similar case.

Nothing better than seeing someone come in here, and their very first post is on a bad window regulator.

Search on window regulators, and find 1000000000000 posts.

Thanks Guys! I'm so new, I forgot to subscribe to my own post! LOL. Turns out that my car doesn't like it when i roll the windows up while the doors are open. It must hork with the open close mechanism that adjusts the window 1/4 inch when you open and close the doors. The problem remedied itself after the car sat overnight. This forum has proven to be invaluable as a new BMW owner! Thank You!
