It sounds a lot more fancier than it really is. Basically there are steel plates, different grades, aluminum, stainless, manganese etc and I run CNC CO2 lasers and cut parts out of them while maintaining and understanding the physics behind it to make sure I do the best job I can while following what the work order prints say. I'm not gonna lie but I friggin love my job. 10th month there and I'm climbing the ladder! My life does get busy but not sleeping really helps. I'm on the east coast and that is why I am usually posting around the early AMs.

I appreciate my busy life right now because... I really sucked at life 2 years ago. lol

EDIT: btw to all the other people in this thread that are following the right path and went to school early, keep going you guys. seriously. Keep at it STRONG. You will use so much of it once you get out. Not because you have to, but because if you do, it's really impressive. Where I work, calculus is fvcking mindblowing to everyone.

I'm to lazy to go back to your post, but are you in school for mechanical engineering?

in school for an associates in general business administration. I keep wasting time by switching majors. Already "wasted" a year in biology and ended up trying to business, now im a year in business and I have one left. after I at LEAST get something, I'm going back for a BS in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Any suggestions on this plan? my company is going to reimburse 5 grand a semester for school (pending GPA).

Hmm I see, well I did switch majors from architecture to marketing. Guess my best advice would be to see what your good at and go for it, might take a while but when u get there you'll know. Hope this helps

Thank you for the offer, may have to take you up on that since I am in the apartments at Bent Tree.
Trust me, the hills are no better with an Auto. Mountains are rough on the old girl, hahaha.

Do you guys find it manageable to afford paying for these cars while in school? Going into my sophmore year at UW-Oshkosh, going for supply chain management. I currently work 40 hours a week at 8 bucks an hour. Would I like to get more per hour? hell yes. Is my job easy, awesome, and consistently get hours every week? yes, so I guess I cant complain. Its almost 300 dollars a week detailing and driving cars.

I should be graduating in a month or so now. Can't wait to get a M3 or something else once I secure a decent paying job.

Lot tech? And my car is affordable since I stay at home and my parents cover for most of my school expenses, I'm lucky that I have a bit of dispensable income. Working more this summer so modding is affordable as well haha.
