Just another S54 Sedan swap

got almost all of the wires solderd in, now i just need to feed the rest through the body and plug them into the proper connectors.

Also i had a buddy press in my powerflex diff bushings, when he pressed one of them it twisted and isnt ligned up properly now that its in place, will it get destoyed if we press it out and back in?

im sure someone has tried to re use the poly diff bushings.. i think im just gunna go for it

yea thats what i was starting to think, im going to give it to another friend and hopefully he can do it.

mini update, got the EKP fuel relay in place and extended the wires that were too short, got most of them hooked up just need to put a couple more in. but i did tape them up good and run them to the front of the car where they remaining wires hook up.

also got all of the updated traction control/abs wires solderd that matched the ones i already had. started routing the remaining wires but ran into some problems because i dont have some of the sensors that they run to. for example the module under the drivers seat

I wish I had the resources to this right now.

i have alot to do, i basically have made 0 progress in the past month

mini update, Ryan and i got some more wiring done yesterday. Only need to add 1 more fuel relay wire and remove two more from the old relay. After that the fuel wiring will be done.

We also finished up installing the turner pulley's, the thing that was holding me up there was the alternator pulley. we ended up sticking a screw driver in the cooling fins to to prevent the pulley from moving add a little WD-40 and it was off. no impact wrench needed

next on the agenda is to remove the last two wires from the old fuel relay, then add the only wire not attached (yet) on the new relay. After that is completed i will move onto adding the remainging 15ish DSC wires.

Big thanks to Ryan for helping out yesterday.

i found the DSC gyro sensor that goes under the drivers seat in a box of parts i have, so that will save me about $100 and that checks off 6 more wires for the DSC unit. only about 10-15 wires to go. then finnally i can start the fun part of putting the real parts into the car

Hi everyone! I'm Ryan. Matt's a good guy with an awesome project. Props to him for tackling the dsc madness... If it was me I would have gotten frustrated and would be blowing through rear tires without trac control. Keep the info coming, next time I'm working on it with him I'll take some pics.

Yea its still slow progress but i'm slowly getting there.

The reason i havent been taking many pictures lately is because the car basically looks the same as it did 6 months a go except it has a lot of new wiring.

this is the most important link i use for all my wiring, im just posting it here because i look for it regularly and its a pain to find

working on this car is alot of taking 1 step foward and 10 back. a perfect example came recently when i thought i had 8 wires left to wire up. turns out that 2 of these wires go to plugs i dont have and thoes two plugs have about 20 wires combined. one plug is for the steering wheel angle sensor thats located on the m3 steering column and not on the non-m that i have. The other plug is the Center switching center 23 pin connector that my car does not have. im not sure if i need to add this 23 pin connector or if i can add the needed wires from it to my existing connector.
