Movies people never talk about but were better than you expected

Thought I'd start a thread about movies that are great but were better than you expected. This can be from any genre/year/etc.

I'll start with one I just watched over the weekend.

Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind (2002)

Olympus Has Fallen

I only watched it since one of the characters has the same name as me, but it actually turned out to be one of the best movies I've seen lately.

+1 I thought it was absolutely full of ridiculous plot holes. For example, the US Army taking a Sunday stroll through the streets as North Korea literally invades the white house.

Also, someone thought it was a cool idea to make it such that it's possible for a person to detonate nuclear weapons from their own underground bunkers with no sort of useful failsafe in preventing that scenario from happening in the first place. Kinda like...gee, I dunno, not programming that event into the missile control system?

The action was really good, though.

What can I say? Most stuff out there is garbage.

Per the thread title, Olympus Has Fallen is much better than I expected since my only interest in watching it was because my name is shared with a character and I hadn't even heard of the movie prior to that.

Not one of the best I've seen in my whole life, but not bad by any means.

I got stuck watching one of the 8 million spider man movies this past weekend (from 2012 I believe)...holy crap was that bad.
