New update... Ordered another set of ARC-8 wheels from Apex to go with the rain tires. Great service, and the set shipped within an hour after my order. 100%
I also installed the new bumper from PeeBee motorsport. Here's a couple of pics of how the car looks now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also got my racing licence today. Three weeks to first race, looking forward to it! |

Thanks!
This week has been a productive one. I got a race licens for the car. The new Apex wheels showed up, and I've ordered two sets of new Michelin racing tires. 1 set of wets and 1 set of slicks. Installed a Setrab oilcooler to run in series with the vac cooler i got from earlier Here's a pic of the new oil cooler. ![]() Also made a piece to wrap the inside of the doors Here's a before picture of the door ![]() And here's the after picture |

Thanks guys!
New update... Installed the new race series steering package from PeeBee motorsport. A great product giving the car a much more direct steering, increasing steering feel and feedback, and giving less camber loss when cornering. Pluss it weights more then 3.5lbs less then stock steering Sorry for the poor cell picture.. ![]() Got my car loaded with new racing tires ![]() And fitted the rain tires to the new set of Apex ARC-8 wheels ![]() ![]() Also got a new set of Pagid RS29 from Simpson motorsport in uk. ![]() So here it sits, ready for testing on sunday. |

Thought i'd update this thread a bit..
The servo problem is taken care of. Replaced my servo pump, and made a bigger servopulley so it won't spin that fast. Problem solved. The thing i'm working on these days are oil cooling. The double oil cooler setup i made didn't work as i'd hope. Still reaching high oil temp under hard driving on hot days. So now I've removed the VAC oil cooler, and only use the big setrab cooler. I think the inner diameter of the oil tubes that went to the oil coolers was too small, so the resistence in the tubes it self, together with the inner volume of the VAC cooler, create too much resistance and then again heat. So now i'm going to make a adapter from the stock oil filter housing that fits a large fitting. Haven't decided how large the inner diameter of the oil lines are going to be yet, but they have to be large enough to make the oil flow easy through them... On another note. I'm just finished a website for Setra Motorsport. I have no experience in that stuff, so it was kinda exciting to try something new. Here's a link to the website. Check it out. http://www.setramotorsport.com I've been to some trackdays this year, but haven't made it to the GT series as planed. That's the aim for next year. Anyway, here's some pictures from this year. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And here's a video where my wife is riding shotgun. |

Apex is legit! Have a set of those wheels myself. Great car, I hope I can do something like this myself one day.
