Thinking of purchasing an e36 m3. Help.

I've been browsing around and researching on possibly purchasing an e36 m3 in the near future. I have an e46 m3 right now but that's actually my weekend car. I love the m3 so much that I want another one as a daily driver. I have a couple questions....

Are e36 m3's less expensive to fix by any chance?

Does it give decent mpg?

Also I know premium gas is recommended for BMW's but would 89 or even 87 gas hurt the engine or cause any problems to the car?

At how many miles does an e36 m3 need an oil change and what specific oil is most recommended?

Any advice would be appreciated thanks
