Eurpoe people: Anyone have the H7 OSRAM/sylvania SilverStar bulbs?
I notice that they are selling the H7 Osram SilverStar bulbs in Europe, anyone bought them? If so, how are they? Any whiter or brighter then the stock halogen bulbs?
I am waiting for these to be released in the US and would like some input about them even tough I know it's a bit different in both markets. |

Here!
I have them for my high-beams(H7), and think they are the best bulbs for a reasonable amount of money. There may be bulbs that are even brighter, but they are also a lot more expensive(PIAA etc...) You will notice a bit more light on the road in front of the car, as well as the colour are a bit whiter than stock bulbs. The whiter colour will also give better reflection of objects that are far away from you. Osram claims 50% more light than stock bulbs... and it certainly feels like this is about true. I'm very pleased with them, and they also seem to last as long as the stock ones. |

Bingo!
Hi, I have them for both my low and high beams and they are just great! I also think that they are appr 50% more effective as promised, compared to the stock bulbs the difference is noticeable. But I already lost one of them after 3 months and replaced it with a stock bulb - it's summer and extra light is not needed here until autumn, for the sun is shining all night long at this time of the year
![]() Anyway, I recommended getting a pair (or two) of Osram Silverstars if available in stores. There's no way back to the stock stuff ![]() - Timo |

Yo' fellas
Have 'em too on my low and high beams. Honestly I have not noticed any difference as far as the light output on the low beams compared to the stock bulbs, however the light hue is a lot whiter than stock's yellowish. The high beams produce now an impressive amount of light that is eavenly distributed along the road with an increased reflection of the far out objects. They are quite expensive here, around 40$ a pair, but awsome light output especially on the high beams. Quite worth its price. /D |
