Rice to me that is, is large fart mufflers, bogus wings, Lamborghini hinge kits. Huge hood scoops. Tires and wheels sticking out past the fender lips. You get the picture. Poor taste. Sorry guys but stretched tires are rice. They started it in the inner cities in the early eighties using 14" wheels that stuck out 3" inches past the fenders. They looked like roller skates.

Actually, it started in Germany because of legal issues with tires. I don't think stretched tires are rice. How would they be?

We all have our opinions. Rubber band tires and stretched is rice. Plus they ride like crap. Who want a BMW that rides like a truck.

The fact that you dont like stretched tires doesnt mean is rice. Rice is more of fake and ridiculous parts to make a car looks fast or look like a fast car. Stretched is intended for style and looks. Some race cars use beefy Tires and wheels sticking out. does that make them ricers? back in 09 many fannatics did not like the strectch, and now they are hella and meximaniacs. there are many ways to do it right bro!

Im 100% with you, but remember that most stretched fanatics dont DD their cars. Some others adjust their suspension to a softer rate coil or (shock/damper settings) and dont give a fuzz about the ride. but you're right, we are just defeating the purpose a the bmw, even though it is stiff from factory.

Track cars are different. It's not about looks. I agree some guys use their cars for both. It's just my opinion but stretched tires looks cheep. Looks like you bought new wide wheels but could not afford tires. Some looks are growing on me though.

What illegal immigrants do to their Honda Civics is what i consider "rice"... I.E. Spoilers, Neon Lights, CHEAP body kits held on by tape, etc... anything made of plastic that can be bought at Walmart is rice. Coilovers, Camber Kits, Stretched tires, etc. are not ricey at all. This is my opinion. I just dont see how you could call someones car riced out when they have thousands of dollars invested in the Wheels and Suspension alone.

Invest thousands of dollars on your suspension only to look stupid and I would call you rice aswell,
Just because you spent a lot of money on your suspension and wheels doesn't exclude it from being rice,
If you click on one of the videos on the first page with the rice 350z you'd see it wasn't an "illegal immigrant" so rice isn't a since race, it can be anyone.

I agree. It's just so rare to see an import car in my town that doesn't have fast and furious dragon decals or led light up muffler tips that I just had to confirm what I was seeing.

Nice, expensive parts =/= rice. My car is slammed and I've spent around 2500 on just suspension and another 2k or so on wheels and tires trying to figure out my ideal fitment.

That's more than most rice cars and their mods cost altogether.

Maybe between pics we can develop our stereotype defination of rice and ricers.

ALL Ricers: Have dents in the trunk lid from bolt on wings.
All Ricers :Have shopped for performance parts at walmart auto section.
All Ricers:have concidered mirror tint window film.
All Ricers:wish they had a pic of an Asian chic leaning on their car.
