I just ordered one off ebay. It was the same thing as the Janus kit. Worked out really good

nice job that looks great! I've been looking to replace my stock headunit (HK w/ no nav) and am really intrigued by the Appradio. How is the sound and usability? Unless I'm missing something this looks like the ultimate replacement, especially considering the price.

There's a few little things that I would change about it, but I think the new update will change it all. It's definitely worth the money!

Let me know how you like it after a few weeks. It got mixed reviews and want to know if I should pick one up or not. And yeah a DIY would be awesome.

I like it alright. My cord stopped working so I need to buy a new one. It's just the same as doing any other double din radio.

Question Problem for me

Hi
I have a 2002 e46 with the HK sound system.
I bought the harness which has a BLUE/WHITE wire. Where do I connect it to?
Because the app radio itself already has a amp remote for the sub amp.
Please help

Did you also need to adapt your airbox?

I'm pretty sure I connected it to the remote wire. Blue/white usually is remote or solid blue. Its been a while since i did the install so I'm not entirely sure.

Sweet. I just finished mine too! I even installed a parking brake bypass. Did you do anything for the steering wheel controls?

You need the TR-7 and a relay to pulse the parking brake wire. So far so good.

I like the radio but I think I might sell it for the 2 or avh-p8400bh...

I wonder if I would lose my steering wheel controls if I install this?

you would lose your steering wheel controls, however you can get this to make them work again

"Axxess Metra ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface with New Micro B Connector "
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

also, this bypass "should" work for the appradio (first gen)
