Nothing other than my conditioning workouts. About a month out from my vacation I think I'll wake up and do some hiit sprinting. Then normal workouts later in the day

Did you build your box jump? Sorry if you posted it a while back, searching with my iPad is a bitch.

haha thats what I meant, not exactly the best "clean" form.

I really love that WOD, every day I inch closer to cancelling membership and going back to my old gym (who conveniently added an entire crossfit gym / rubber weights next door a month after I left)

I meant the clean is the first lift. The other part is just the dropping of the weight in the rack position.

Dude here's why I like this stuff. Everyone always talked about functional and I was like yea whatever. These workouts will help me lift couches. But when I played bball the other day I could jump much higher and I'm probably 40lbs heavier than I was at my constant bball playing days. It was easy to measure because I used to have to run and jump to grab rim. now I can take one step and leap and grab it.

These wod workouts are awesome. I still do all the "big" lifts and just relate the wods to those. It makes it fun as hell to create the workouts.

ahh ok, guess I should say dropping it into a clean grip?

yeah thats why I respect the WOD's... they incorporate the big lifts and oly lifts in new and constantly changing ways... and efficiently and intensely as well. That's awesome on the vertical improvement, I mean its easy to picture the bench press helping a linebacker push back the opposing LB, a deadlift helping you be a better mover etc... but in reality they build overall strength and fitness and make you a more athletic and useful human in general. At xmas, I picked up a christmas tree and OHP'd it until I was at the SUV... random stuff like that I know I couldn't do without weightlifting.

yea feels good lol. I will say I did feel achy in my lower back while playing though. I did just deadlift the day before so it may be a combination of that and just not playing sports in a while.

everytime I deadlift, the next couple days it only takes a little bit of antagonizing (even putting dishes in the dishwasher for instance) to make my lower back ache. Playing hockey is the worst, it's all core/lower back/quads.

Nice, what height are you jumping onto now? I'm gonna build one this summer, I got to my vertical up higher. It doesn't feel like its gonna tip?

Sturdy as hell. If I could guess I'd say it weighs a good 50lbs. I could be off though lol.

If I do fast high rep I'll do 20", moderate 24, and low 30". I have done 50 jumps at 30 though. I jump down from the 20, jump/step from the 24 half the time and always step down from the 30.
