that is just more calories burned.. more work!

like i said above it is just something that i have never done, because of going to commercial gyms.

so when you post a clip can you either edit it out or not do it at all? k thanx..
lol exactly. Commerical gyms have steel plates. what the hell do you think people will do. No one cleans anyway lol. In my 5+ years at golds gym I haven't seen a single person clean. I just find it funny you think it's annoying when you've never experienced it.

Also, I'm not trying to burn calories. I'm trying to lift heavy weights.

Bench press from the floor. I've never done it but may try soon. If I got get 185x5x3 tonight that will be 3 consecutive fails at that weight and I'll have to drop down.

No video unfortunately. I tried to hang power clean it and it didnt get it so I just did it from the floor right after I dropped it and it was relatively easy.

Here's a floor press vid

Yeah. One of my main problems is that I catch all my powercleans standing almost straight up with pretty much no knee bend, almost a muscle clean.

If I could start catching them a little lower I think 275 is doable. When my current squat cycle is over I am going to switch over to a 2 or 3 month olympic template to see what I get those numbers up to....

A 275 clean and 205 snatch sound awesome....

what do you mean i havent experienced it? of course i have never thrown them down or dropped them.. but i have seen plenty of dumbasses drop them from waist high before, for whatever reason. maybe they were trying to save time. i dont know. it just made me cringe when i first started seeing cf'ers do it .. then i saw the rubber plates made so people COULD throw them down.

^^ old guy, first world problems, .. i am going to go eat my oatmeal now.
no one cares.....let it go already and stick to the topic at hand.

Tonights workouts.

Happy with squats even though it wasn't high weight. I do think the belt is helping a lot. It feels very good and I feel like it keeps my form proper

bench sucked because i failed again at 185. Not sure how to handle this. Go down then work back up or what

ring dips were awesome. Almost got 10x3 weighted. I was 1 off

hspu's were rough today and so were the close grip bench press

Barbell Squat:
45 lb x 10 reps (+42 pts)
135 lb x 7 reps (+73 pts)
190 lb x 5 reps (+95 pts)
190 lb x 5 reps (+95 pts)
190 lb x 5 reps (+95 pts)
felt very good. The belt is definitely helping.
Barbell Bench Press:
45 lb x 15 reps (+45 pts)
135 lb x 7 reps (+73 pts)
160 lb x 3 reps (+62 pts)
185 lb x 5 reps (+92 pts)
185 lb x 4 reps (+84 pts)
185 lb x 3 reps (+74 pts)
This sucked.
Ring Dip:
12 reps || weighted || 20 lb (+132 pts)
10 reps || weighted || 20 lb (+106 pts)
9 reps || weighted || 20 lb (+93 pts)
So close to 10x3
Handstand Push-Up:
3 reps (+18 pts)
3 reps (+18 pts)
3 reps (+18 pts)
3 reps (+18 pts)
4 reps (+24 pts)
Close-Grip Barbell Bench Press:
120 lb x 8 reps (+67 pts)
120 lb x 8 reps (+67 pts)
120 lb x 8 reps (+67 pts)

New PR on power clean today, 195. I was hoping I could pull 205. It felt quite close but I couldn't get under it just enough.

Nice man. I got 190 with crappy form a few months back. I hope to get over that soon. Although I don't plan on maxing anytime soon but maybe I'll get my work sets up close to that.

Tonights workout

Barbell Deadlift:
135 lb x 7 reps (+73 pts)
135 lb x 7 reps (+73 pts)
185 lb x 5 reps (+92 pts)
225 lb x 3 reps (+97 pts)
245 lb x 5 reps (+138 pts)
Felt good. I should be moving up a bit more. I think the belt helps keep my form good but I need to do something about my calluses. The grip hurts quite a bit.

Romanian Deadlift:
145 lb x 8 reps (+63 pts)
145 lb x 8 reps (+63 pts)
145 lb x 8 reps (+63 pts)

Power Clean:
135 lb x 5 reps (+49 pts)
135 lb x 5 reps (+49 pts)
135 lb x 5 reps (+49 pts)
135 lb x 5 reps (+49 pts)
135 lb x 5 reps (+49 pts)

5 rounds
5 power cleans
10 swings

Two-Arm Kettlebell Swing:
53 lb x 10 reps (+37 pts)
53 lb x 10 reps (+37 pts)
53 lb x 10 reps (+37 pts)
53 lb x 10 reps (+37 pts)
53 lb x 10 reps (+37 pts)
