Unhappy Factory stereo removal on 323ci?!?!?!?!?

can anyone tell me how to take off the factory stereo on a 2k 323ci?? Thanks!!!

- remove the trim, pry it of slowly
- remove the radio screws

reach behind it once u get the stereo out and push it out... pops right out.
Did your stereo have a CD player? If so, and its the right part, i'm intrested in buyin it if you're getting rid of it

It did have a CD player, but I'm going to keep it because after this summer I plan on trading it in (my 2k 323ci) for an M3, so I want to change all the audio equipment stock when I do this, I tried putting an Alpine head unit, but there is not enough space to push the cd unit in, and it sticks out!!

you have to take out the vent piece in the back and remove a little plastic. It's a tight fit, but I did to my car (then noticed it looked like ass), and i've installed aftermarket head units in a few other E46s.
You could swap my tape deck w/ yer cd player, and i'd give u cash
