driver door hinge creaking noise

anyone know the best lube to remedy this or if something in the hinge needs to be tightened?

Wd-40 bro

try silicone lube if you dont like the WD40 smell.

You can also use 3 in 1 lube that still comes in small tin bottle

I was under the impression that the lube from the factory (lasted aparently 10 years) was something that would get broken down by other types of lubricants.

I use ZEP 45. I use it for my guns and it works great

Its that simple Motor oil will work just as well

I used WD-40. The creak went away for a while but came back soon enough. I would suggest an actual grease to get it done right.

using an oil well work as well Ive used WD-40 lots, Im surprised it didnt work for you

where exactly to apply it? dont want messy jam... (alpine white)

The hinge itself is most likely squeaking If lube ing it up dosent help it might be worn out. Grab the bottom of the door and lift up and down and see if their is play in the hinge

No play in hinge thankfully

This oil works very well

Its what i use on my car its not messy and seems to last

It worked for a little bit. But with the extreme heat here in Texas it doesn't last as long. My hinges aren't worn or anything either as suggested. The oil you posted works well. You need to try and clean up any of the old lube from the hinge as well, that also will help. Plus it'll look better.

for the record,

I used wd 40 and it immeadiately got louder....

cleaned that off, used silicone: niose still there.

losened /tightened all bolts/ hinges... noise still there.

hard to pinpoint where the sound is actually coming from.

after cleaning off again and sitting overnight: noise is 90% gone but is still there a bit.


is it possible that the black rocker arm has a worn component where it connects inside the door?

Applied WD40 4 months ago..havent heard the squeaking yet,..just apply it generously.
