Happy B-Day to me...new H&K P30L

Love this thing.....longslide, but not as long as my M&P 9L. Took me a while to clean all the grease out of it. Looking forward to shooting it this Tuesday.

Sorry for the crappy IPhone picture. And sorry for it being upside down.....LOL. I think you get the point though.

P30L is on my short list of other 9mm guns I want. Definitely a great piece of kit if you have the funds.

Not really, sold my KelTek SUB2000 40cal....making room for the KSG now and then will probably call it quits.

Just put a NcStar green laser on the HK tonight....great laser.

The P30L feel in my hand reminds me so much of my M&P 9L. Love the grips. I am still and always will be a Glock guy though.

I love my P30. I trust my Glock, and I certainly respect it, but it's not my favorite. The P30 is.

Put 50 rounds through the P30L, not a single malfunction. I did clean it first and you should do with any gun. The range was crowed and only had time to tap off 50 quick rounds. Love the gun, still need to get used to it though as any new weapon. Bought 500 rounds of 9mm for the HK and also to split some with the M&P 9L...still tuning in the Dawson adjustable sights on that. Funny, the M&P and H&K feel so similar in grip. Part of that is I swapped out the sides on the HK grip to medium and the rear to small tonight.

Got me 100 rounds of 45 for the Kimber Raptor.....man....nothing like shooting a 45. Last week after I installed my big dot sights on my Glock 21, had so much fun so need to spend some time on the 1911. Cool thing is.....the Lone Wolf threaded barrel for the Glock 21 and compensator should ship finally the end of this month.

Need to leave the rifles at home so the brass burns on my neck heal. 600 rounds though will be fun this Tuesday!!!! Will tell you how much I really like the HK P30L then.

For some reason the P30L has never appealed to me, I prefer the standard P30.

It's on my list of Single Shot Exemptions I want.

Still breaking it in. Changing the sights to Big Dots like the ones I installed on my Glock 21. I am not a fan of the stock flashlight glow sights. Also, since the gun is not fully broken in....found out it HATES cheap UMC ammo. Next time at the range...running some American 124 and 147 to break that spring in for the low grain WWB ammo. Still love the gun though.

Failure to extract, failure to feed and accuracy issues.

Correct.

Out of all my guns, never had an ammo issue except for breaking in my Kimber 1911 and now the HK. The Kimber now works flawless with any ammo....expect the HK will do the same in a few hundred rounds.

To be fair my HK USPc has never had any problems with break in and I've run every kind of BRASS cased crap through it.

Nor did any of my Glocks....but some guns are different.

Got me 100 rounds of 124 grain, and 50 rounds of 147 grain....then going to try 250 rounds of the cheap USP after that to see if things work themselves out this Tuesday. Will report back.

EDIT: And like I said....this is my range gun, just like the M&P 9L and many others. I carry Glock for personal protection. They work right out of the box.

No issues today after shooting 100 rounds of American 124 grain and American 147 grain. Finally ate the cheap target ammo. If I can shoot 200 rounds of WWB next Tuesday at the range with no stovepipes......I could call it finally safe to carry. Almost as accurate as my Kimber Raptor 1911. I blew the red out of the target today with 3 mags in the HK twice. Just wanted to report back. Love this gun.

Good to hear that it's breaking in properly.
