Window Regulator **Need Advice**

Hello everyone,

Today on the way to work my front passenger window popped while rolling up. That all too familar sound (I just had to replace my rear window regulators on both sides). Both rears went out at different times, a few months apart, and now a few months later the passenger front.

I have two questions:

1. Replacing the window regulator which manufacture is better .... Dorman or ACI Auto?

2. Is replacing the front doors harder than the back doors. Back doors where very easy. The front has airbags in door, will this pose a difficult issue replacing?

Thank you.

Sometimes you don't even have to replace the front window regulators. SEARCH zip-tie window regulator fix. But I would always go OEM if replacing. Although I have heard good things about Dorman regulators too. So I'm sure those are very close to, if not better than, OEM quality. I have never heard of ACI auto.

The fronts are a bit more time consuming than the rears in my opinion.

As for airbags, just make sure you have the negative battery terminal disconnected whenever you are dealing with unplugging and plugging back in the airbag and you shouldn't get a fault code. OR you can just hang the airbag with string and that way you don't have to disconnect the airbag at all.

And remember to secure the vapor barrier in the door well. Many water leakage problems are caused by poor reinstallation. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer to properly heat the butyl or whatever it's called and attach the vapor barrier.
