Exclamation Need Opinions for new suspension components

Hello everyone and thanks for chiming in advanced, I have a 2002 325XI and It's my daily driver i'm not lowering it or anything I was going to use the stock springs in the front and get Bilstein's HD all around with the stock springs. Has anyone Ever used this setup? I was going to go with KYB's GR-2s all the way around with the stock springs it's cheaper but I dont want to get something cheap but i've heard positive about both brands and negatives.
I just want a smooth comfortable ride, comparable to OEM, and something that will last decent. I know the Bilstein's come with a limited lifetime warranty which is appealing but I dont want crazy stiff uncomfortable ride. Please help

Bilsteins are good for stock setup.

For use with your stock springs the Bilsteins will be great! Or really, your best bet is to go OEM and get the SACHS shocks. They aren't really that expensive, I believe you can get all four for around $450.

My Ride: has a tailgate
I've been really happy with the set of Bilstein HDs that I put in over the summer. Firmer than stock, but not too firm. Work great with the stock springs. I had no interest in lowering my car nor jarring my kidneys loose, so the HDs are exactly what I was looking for.

Check around for prices and sales. IIRC the xi fronts are normally cheaper than non-xi.
